Yes! Same here, and I think Bottom and Top make so much sense that I've experimented with flipping the controls for some games and using LB as left bottom and LT as Left Top. It feels nice, but it's not always possible to rebind controls because I'm lazy.
The... trigger shaped one? I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you, but they're shaped like triggers as in gun triggers. It's why right trigger was the standard "shoot" button since at least Halo on Xbox while Playstation didn't see that control scheme standardized to R2 until the PS4 (though some games tried defaulting to R2 during the PS3 days, but it didn't get picked up as quickly with how bad those buttons were on that controller)
I grown up with Nintendo control scheme, but really like the idea of calling those shoulder buttons triggers. Just disappointed that xbox controller doesn't have levers on the sides called "selector" for toggling stuff. Such a missed opportunity.
I genuinely prefer the L3 | LS distinction in function. But I can see how it is unintuitive for people who people who are still learning the control scheme.
This! I also intuitively translate the B as "back". Obviously when I think about it again, I know which is which, but when you're playing you're not thinkng too deeply. R1/R2 is instantly understandable for any player of whatever console.
Valve clearly understood that as well, which is why they changed that part from the Xbox controller.

B = bumper, T = trigger
