They're setting it up so they can justify deploying the military on the protests that are going to erupt in November after they try to pull some shit with the election.

One thing they just don’t seem to be counting on is … PEOPLE. I’ve said it a million times, nobody thinks the right is dumber than this administration. As much as we make fun, they aren’t all dumb. And… those officers and military folk… and even some of the ICE agents start to see the truth because unlike the Richie Rich’s these decisions actually impact their families. Farmers, government workers fired…. Did you see him rambling in front of farmers? That was supposed to convince them not to worry? Tuh. They have to be scared… I’m not blindly believing things will go our way… but I’m also not pessimistic because I AM reading the room.

I want to believe you but I just don't see it. These people will justify living in squalor and under a boot before they ever admit they were wrong. They'll die protecting their ego and that's it.
