Then they'll be ended with Hellfire missiles launched via drone from one of the many military bases firmly under MAGA control. The Right is positively giddy at the prospect of finally getting to paint the streets of every US city red with US civilian blood, and don't think for a moment that anyone will stop them.

The Nazis weren't stopped by the German populace, and MAGA won't be either. Only outside military interference can remove and entrenched Fascist Dictatorship, and with the US's nuclear arsenal even that's not an option.

That's why, for all the talk of "violent leftwing extremism", it's completely false. There has been far less violence than I'd expect to see when France loses the World Cup. The only violence has been that inflicted upon minorities (especially those in detention) and protestors.

I'm actually kind of terrified... I think with a free and fair election, the dems will clean up no problem. But with Miller and whatever trump is going to say tonight, it's obvious they are going to pull some big time shenanigans. Then when we react they just start shooting and/or locking us up for 50 year sentences. What are we supposed to do?

This election is our last chance, and if they blatantly steal it we are fucked.

Scared is what we need to be.

Afraid of our rights being stripped away further. Afraid of our neighbors being taken by masked goons. Afraid of what will happen if we dont act.

You can't have bravery without fear. And American people need motivation to get into the streets, protest, and vote. Fear is a great motivator.

They use fear very effectively to control their base. Conservatives have done it time and time again throughout our short history to turn their base against non white citizens and immigrants. And to convince them to willfully give their freedoms for security.

Scary is the right word because regardless of our actions or inactions, the GOP can cause any dissenting voices a lot of harm in a very short amount of time. Being brave has nothing to do with something being scary. Bravery is just doing the job that needs to be done in spite of it being scary.

It's hard to tell. Sometimes they act like they have a checkmate in hand. Other times they act like cornered animals lashing out. Their behavior conveys a combination of weakness and confidence that can be hard to read, but my money is personally on weakness. I don't think they have the checkmate but they still have avenues to get it if we let them.
