Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?
We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).
So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?
Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.
This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

Political posts are STILL banned.
And yes, that includes the recent events in Utah.

The Odyssey (2026) was universally hated by critics and audience alike due to its woke casting, lame armor, Tom Holland calling his male parent "dad" (Ancient Greeks would have called him something old fashioned like "father"), and... wait what?

Turd In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Dumbledore ignores Harry all summer until the moment he asks a black waitress out on a date, at which time he appears and takes Harry on some weird trip. What did director David Yates mean by this?

Prior to the invention of major studios not giving a fuck, CGI in movies was incredible

J.K. Rowling used 1,084,170 words to write Harry Potter but her philosophy can be condensed down to 14.

In The Odyssey (2026), it turns out people on the Internet aren't real people.

In Obsession (2026), many questions aren't answered. One of them is what would happen if Bear said "I wish that this one wish willow was unbreakable"? Really, what would happen??? I can't sleep :(

In Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (2009) Inventor Flint Lockwood invents a machine that turns water into food. presenting his invention to the world with world wide acclaim and initial praise. This is actually unrealistic as he would be assassinated for tanking the for profit food industries

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), why didn’t Harry just do this to Voldemort? Is he stupid?

In Transformers (2007), Bonecrusher goes out of his way to blow up a bus during the highway battle. This is because he is American and hates public transportation.

In Knowing (2009), the guy in the yellow jacket sees something behind the main character that's so scary, he runs away in absolute fear. As the main character looks back to check what it was, a plane appears out of nowhere and crashes. It is never revealed what the man in the yellow jacket saw.

For his role in I Play Rocky (2026) Anthony Ippolito didn't even try to look or sound like Rocky. Dude isn't even fist bumping
Could play an excellent Rambo, tho

Turd In WALL-E (2008), people who were arguing about whether people are going to survive on Earth missed the point. In the end credits we can clearly see how people evolved from 3D animation to 2D animation

default Barbie (2023) is a story set in Mattel's Cinematic Universe about how the dream of the oppressed is to become the oppressor or something. I don't know really know, I watched the movie while jerking off to Ken.

Despite the sci-fi tag, Attack the block (2011) gives an accurate rendition of the average night out in London.

Turd In Guns Akimbo (2019), Miles, a mobile video game programmer, messes with the wrong people and ends up having to fight in a live streamed death match with the guns bolted to his hands, resulting in an experience almost as stressful as being employed by Xbox.

In Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (2023), Star Lord gives a devastating cry as Rocket seemingly dies. This was the last good performance of Chris Pratt’s career.

After watching The Odyssey (2026) I can say I’m heavily disappointed by the fact that the film is in English rather than Ancient Greek

Turd The Odyssey (2026) is a story about the ridiculous lie involving gods and fantasy creatures told by a drunk Odysseus to his angry wife to cover up the fact he was actually out singing about having sex with Scotty's girlfriend
