I am the guy who accidentally "stole" Lewis Hamilton's 3rd-place FIA World Championship trophy in 2023. AMA!

In December 2023, my friend and I snuck into the highly exclusive, black-tie FIA Prize Giving Gala in Baku wearing standard suits. After drinking free wine and partying with F1 drivers, a series of incredibly chaotic, wine-fueled decisions led to us walking out the front doors with Lewis Hamilton’s actual 3rd-place championship trophy in a cardboard box.

What started as a joke went viral overnight, racking up over 100 million views, triggering an official Mercedes-AMG F1 press release, sparking a full FIA investigation, and ending with a very tense, two-hour visit from high-level state security at my friend's house.

I'm the guy behind the heist. Ask me anything!

My latest research has uncovered major contradictions in some of the fundamental assumptions of modern astronomy. Ask me anything about cosmology and astronomy.

For example, astronomers claim that there are billions of stars, yet I can only see about twelve from my house.

At this point, I believe the burden of proof is on them.

Sexuality/LGBTQ+ I am a passing trans woman AMA

I am a 30 year old trans woman. I accepted it at 25 tried to shove it down came out at 27 and here we are 2.5 years later and to my surprise i actually pass about 90% of the time.

I have bottom surgery on the books

I work a blue collar job as a automotive technician.

I'm pretty non-typical from what you would expect from a stereotypical transperson.

I've had these feelings as young as three years old.

I quite enjoy helping people learn about trans experience. So much to the point that I felt there was no guide or literature about this experience that would appeal to the average person. So I wrote a memoir in order to bridge that gap.

I believe that it's harder to hate each other when we know more about each other.

I’ve been developing a theoretical framework. It’s called Recursive Infinity Grammar. What do you think?

How does infinity appear?

The key to learning the Recursive Infinity Grammar is Accepting Irony at the Sacrifice of Certainty.

This framework suggests that similarity and polarity relate to each other through ironic relation. Propulsive 0 (life), plus stagnating (dead) 0, equal 1. Objects create motion creates objects. Life creates death creates life. Religion and spirituality create and perpetuate each other and boundless rules. Learning the unknown becomes wisdom and creates the doorway for more ignorance and wisdom. Every opening closes something, and every closing opens something. Expansion and contraction transform into each other infinitely. It is the principle of degeneration and regeneration. It is impossible to fully or completely capture expansion and contraction. The point where they meet is what we know as gravity, energy, friction, and life.

The framework answers the questions: Which came first? The chicken or the egg? What is the relationship between them? It answers: The egg likely came first. The egg symbolizes the Universe, an alive and adapting system of infinity.

The framework itself predicts how to create new adaptive systems that slowly reverse the effects of climate change and capitalism for survival. Its clear limitation is that nothing can be fully captured within the framework.

The most adaptive step according to the framework is to unite as a big force with/within boundaries across all fractals against maladaptive forces - the systems that perpetuate (not necessarily or unnecessarily the people or identities perpetuating the systems), and refine the rules continuously until we find optimal adaptive balance, which is an ongoing rhythm called propulsion. It looks more like a sphere than an egg, although it’s questionable if a perfect sphere can be created within the framework.

Modesty is the “best” or most evolved policy within this framework. It is achieved through radical humility, honesty, modesty, and truth seeking.

Within the framework, the bigger the ego, the smaller accurate perception. This gives one prediction to the existence of billionaires. Their perception is flattened in relation to reality. They believe that the key to sustainable survival is that people *are* profits without seeing how people and profits *perpetuate each other,* valuing the profit (contraction side) more. This is why capitalism is collapsing. The system becomes maladaptive (reverse egg) and eats itself.

This gives one prediction to climate change and global collapse. We see the earth only as life while overlooking death - not fully capturing how life and death perpetuate each other, and we kill our own ecosystem that helps us survive because we value humanity’s survival (contractive side) more than the survival of the planet (expansive side). When people warn that we’re killing our planet, they are attempting to communicate that we are tying our own noose now and across all perceivable fractals.

Both I and the framework remain open to humble and true questioning and correction. Please enjoy naming your own infinities using the framework if/when you have the time and space.

*Important Questions:*
How is this literal?
How is it physical?
How is it symbolic?
What are its limitations?
In what ways is this framework absurd?
In what ways is this framework logical?
And more…

To learn more about the origin of the framework and expand into more ideas, click this link (which will and must remain free for all): [https://drive.google.com/file/d/10profIYZSugu0qMraeuOnloMyaLviyJl/view?usp=drivesdk\]

I encourage you to share this infinitely if it resonates.

About the author/ namer: Hi! I’m Eli May (he/ they), and I am a real human being with a face. I live in the United States. I am a transgender Marine Corps veteran, both logical and absurd, an adventurer and a pattern namer. A philosopher, a scientist, and an artist. A thinker and one embodiment of irony and propulsive 0. I perceived recursive infinity through my art before realizing the grammar. I am attempting to take authorship but not ownership of the framework. I am attempting not to judge any comment. I ask that you do your best to be objective and continue to ask questions without judgement wherever possible.

I won an original Tesla Roadster. AMA.

I genuinely used to assume giveaway winners were either fake, connected to the company, or some random person you would never hear from again.

Then EV Auto called me while I was at work and told me I had won an original first-generation Tesla Roadster.

I entered the giveaway like everyone else and never seriously expected anything to happen. I figured I would submit my entries, briefly imagine winning, and eventually see somebody else’s name announced online.

When the call came, my brain basically stopped working. I kept waiting for the part where they asked me to send money, buy gift cards, or click some suspicious link. Instead, they were actually telling me that I had been selected as the winner.

I already owned a modern Tesla and knew what the original Roadster was, which somehow made the news even harder to process. This was not just a random used car. It was Tesla’s original production vehicle from before the Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck, and basically everything most people now associate with the company.

A few days later, my fiancée and I drove from Indiana to Tennessee for EV Auto’s grand-opening event in Brentwood.

We met the team, saw the green Roadster in person for the first time, talked about the car, and tried to act like this was a normal thing happening to us. Eventually, they called me forward in front of the crowd, announced that I was the winner, and handed me the keys.

Watching that moment back still feels like I am watching somebody else’s life.

The official giveaway video is here:

https://youtu.be/EtV__z2LNuw?is=STKPBnQzPRmDG5R0

For anyone unfamiliar with it, this is the original Tesla Roadster, not the newer Roadster prototype Tesla has displayed over the years.

It is heavily related to the Lotus Elise, but it uses Tesla’s early electric drivetrain, battery system, electronics, charging equipment, controls, and a ridiculous collection of unusual design choices from the company’s earliest days.

That is a huge part of why I find it so fascinating. It is simultaneously:

An early electric vehicle

A rare sports car

A major piece of Tesla history

A Lotus-related vehicle

A snapshot of late-2000s technology

A car filled with systems and components that are completely different from a modern Tesla

I created this account, u/TeslaRoadsterWinner, because I plan to document the car in an honestly unreasonable amount of detail.

I do not want to post a few exterior pictures, say “look at my rare Tesla,” and disappear. I want to show what it is actually like to drive, charge, maintain, research, repair, and live with one of these cars today.

I plan to dig into things like:

Every strange button, switch, display, gauge, vent, latch, and warning light

How the removable roof works

How the original Roadster charging system works

What charging equipment and adapters it uses

Real-world charging speeds and range

Battery behavior

Acceleration, handling, steering, braking, comfort, noise, and visibility

How it compares with my modern Tesla

What parts are actually shared with the Lotus Elise

Maintenance requirements and common failures

Tires, brakes, suspension, cooling systems, electronics, and the 12-volt system

Parts availability and discontinued components

Repair, insurance, charging, and ownership costs

Original manuals, accessories, literature, and promotional material

The history of this specific Roadster

Road trips, car shows, and public reactions

Every strange discovery and unexpected problem along the way

I am not pretending that winning the car automatically made me an expert on it.

I am learning as I go, and I would genuinely love to hear from current or former Roadster owners, early Tesla employees, technicians, Lotus Elise or Exige owners, collectors, automotive historians, independent EV specialists, or anyone who has worked on one of these cars.

Any accurate information, advice, correction, warning, story, technical document, parts source, or obscure piece of Roadster history is welcome.

So ask me anything about:

How I entered the giveaway

What the winner call was like

Whether I believed it

Telling my fiancée

Driving to Tennessee

Meeting the EV Auto team

Seeing the Roadster for the first time

Being announced as the winner

What it felt like being handed the keys

What surprised me most about the car

How it compares with a modern Tesla

What I plan to investigate first

Anything shown in the official video

What you would want tested, explained, or filmed

Anything else you have ever wanted to ask somebody who somehow won an original Tesla Roadster

My inbox is also open to any and all private questions, especially from owners, former employees, technicians, collectors, or anyone with information they would rather not post publicly.

For transparency, I am not employed by EV Auto or Tesla, and I am not speaking on behalf of either company. I am simply the extremely confused person whose name somehow got selected.

I also created a YouTube channel where I will be posting the long-form Roadster deep dives:

https://youtube.com/@teslaroadsterwinner

So, Reddit: what is the very first thing you would want to know, inspect, test, or see if an original Tesla Roadster suddenly landed in your life?

AMA.
